With Charlotte city to the south, the beautiful city of Winston Salem is perfect in every sense. Everything was perfect until the city’s government decided to reduce the size of recycling carts back in 2015.

Well, that was just the tip of the iceberg because there were even more issues with Winston Salem trash pickup. Several delays in schedule caused many problems, but luckily that era is now part of the past.

Wrapping It Up!

Like the rest of the North Carolina State, the residential garbage is collected every week along the yard waste. Only the recyclables are picked up every other week.

Bulk items are only collected once a year and if you’d miss your weekly route, either you have to wait a whole year or hire private junk haulers.

The one thing that I really like about Winston Salem’s sanitation schedule is that you have separate 96-gallon carts for both recyclables and yard waste.

We hope that this article will help you with your garbage collection day. Well, if you think we have missed anything, do tell us!
