Illegal dumping is the main problem in Surrey. Well, to counter it, the city has introduced several free junk drop-off events. To be honest, it was a smart move, and this small thing left a big impact.

Now, it’s time for residents to fulfill their duty and follow their trash schedule. That’s why we are here!

In this article, we’ll guide you in detail on Surrey garbage day, recycling pickup, dump hours, and much more. For updated information, we’ve collaborated with the Department of Public Works too.

So, let’s begin!

1. Find Your Surrey Garbage Schedule 2024

Curbside residential carts are collected every other week. Starting off April 3rd, the city has been divided into 5 sections with a specific day assigned to each zone.

The collection begins at 6 a.m., and residents need to follow a strict schedule. Here’s how you can find your Surrey garbage day:

  • Navigate to the city’s official website (click here)
  • Type your address in the search bar
  • Your collection day schedule will be displayed

Keep in mind that you must roll out the carts on time before the collection service begins. Otherwise, your carts will not be collected, and you have to wait till the next collection.
