Wichita Falls Trash Pickup Schedule

Here’s a  reminder about your trash pickup schedule based on where you live on Kell Freeway.

Your trash days are Monday and Thursday for those residing north of Kell Freeway. If you are on the south side, Tuesday and Friday are your days to wheel out those bins.

On every holiday, the Transfer Station and Landfill take a break and remain closed. Also, during holiday weeks, remember that Wednesday’s Organic Recycling Pickup won’t be happening.

Note: Your regular trash collection schedule remains the same on all nationally observed holidays, such as Martin Luther King Day, Columbus Day, and Veterans Day.

Thanksgiving

November 28, 2024:

• No trash collection on Thursday and Friday.
• Regular pickup on Monday and Tuesday.
• Thursday’s trash will be collected on Wednesday.
• Friday’s collection moves to Saturday.
• Note: No organic waste collection on Wednesday, November 22nd.

• Monday, Dec 18 & Tuesday, Dec 19: Regular trash collection.
• Wednesday, Dec 20: Trash is normally collected on Thursday.

• Presidents Day Changes: For waste management on Presidents Day, here’s the lowdown:
• Monday, February 19, 2024: If your trash pickup is usually on Monday, it’s moving to Tuesday.
• Tuesday’s Turn: Regular Tuesday collections will happen on Wednesday.
• No Midweek Organics: On Wednesday, February 21, there’s a break from the organics collection.
• Thursday & Friday: These days are staying just as they are—no changes.

Memorial Day trash Pick-up

• Date Alert: May 27, 2024 (Monday)
• Schedule Shift: Monday’s pickups move to Tuesday.
• More Changes: Tuesday’s collections will happen on Wednesday.
• Staying the Same: Thursday and Friday – no changes, business as usual.

Wichita Falls Bulk Trash Pickup

• Wichita Falls Trash Collection Service: Homes and businesses can call the Sanitation Office at 940-761-7977 to request a special pickup of large trash items.
• Placement Rules: Make sure to put your bulky trash on the curb or another spot approved by the Sanitation boss. Keep it at least five feet away from things like mailboxes or trees, and make sure there is enough space above – about 13.5 feet.
