1. Edmond Trash Schedule 2024

Curbside residential garbage is collected weekly. Here’s how to find your Edmond trash day:

  • Navigate to the city of Edmond’s official website (Click here)
  • Type your address in the search bar 
  • All your solid waste information, including trash and recycling, will be displayed

Keep in mind that the pickup begins at 7 am. So, don’t forget to roll out your carts to the curb by then.

Where To Report Missed Trash Collection In Edmond?

If you think your carts are missed by mistake, call 405 -359 -4541. Before you call, ensure that your carts were placed correctly and on time. 

2. Edmond Recycling Schedule

Recyclables are collected every other week on the same day as your regular trash day. To find out your recycling day schedule, click here

  • Put the recyclables loosely. 
  • Don’t put any liquid or used oil in your blue cart.
  • If you’re in doubt about any item, throw it out.
  • Bring your cart back in as soon as possible after the collection.

Acceptable Items

Aerosol Cans, Aluminum beverage cans, Magazines and phone books, Juice boxes and other paper cartons, Plastic bottles with #1 and #2, Tin food cans and lids, Flatten cardboard. 

Unacceptable Items

Appliances, Glass bottles and jars, Waxed cartons, Tissues, Used paper towels, Plastic shopping bags, Hazardous Materials, Bubble wrap, Styrofoam, Stuffed animals, Rubber balls, and Wire clothing hangers.

3. Edmond Big Trash Day 2024

All residents can request 12 bulky collections per year at a small fee. Usually, the pickup date is determined by where you live. 

  • Call 405 -359 -4541 to schedule your bulky trash day pickup.
  • Residents have to pay $10 for the first 2 cubic yards and $5 for each additional cubic yard.
  • You have to place big trash to curb by yourself.
  • Keep it at least 4 feet away from the trees, poles, and fencing.

Discarded appliances are also collected and then recycled as scrap metal. Don’t forget to remove compressors from refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners before you place them out.

Accepted Bulk Trash

Old furniture, home appliances, bed frames, BBQ grills, and wooden pallets. Tree limbs and branches are also accepted as bulk trash, but they must be cut into sizes less than 4 feet and must not be more than 14 inches in diameter.

Unaccepted Items

Soil, construction debris, dead animal, roofing material, concrete, tile, sod, or dirt, and regular household garbage is not accepted.

5. Edmond Christmas Tree Pickup 

There are two ways to dispose of your Christmas tree

  • Dropping it at Mitch Park by January 31
  • Request a special pickup

Before you drop off your tree at Mitch Park, ensure to remove all nails and ornaments from it, as it will be chipped and converted to Mulch for recycling.

Call 405- 359-4701, tree recycling hotline between January 1st to 9th, for a free-of-cost pickup. 

6. Edmond Trash Pickup Holiday 2024

The city observes 6 holidays. On holidays, the pickup is delayed and pushed to the next day. There will be no pickup on the following days.
