5. Memphis Bulk Trash Pickup 2024

Unlike the Davidson County trash pickup schedule, the city of Memphis provides bulk trash collection services twice a month.

  • This service is known as “outside the cart.”
  • Only tree limbs, yard debris, and bulk furniture are allowed.

For extra garbage, residents have to pay $10 per garbage bag. If you have a lot of bulky trash, the best option for you is to dispose of it at the Memphis landfill near you. 

Guidelines for Bulk Pickup

  • Limit your bulky item piles to half a cubic yard.
  • Keep bulky item piles within three feet of the street.
  • Avoid placing bulky items near mailboxes, parked cars, fences, trees, and low-hanging branches.
  • Do not place materials at the curb after the collection crew has passed your house.
  • Ensure tree debris is shorter than 5 feet and less than 13 inches in diameter.
